With InstantUpdate your users can check for new updates of your software over the Internet anytime, anywhere. Think of the technical support incidents that could be eliminated if your users always used the latest releases of your software. No more emails or phone calls from users asking if you have released a fix or new version. This is also a great way to promote new upgrades and products. Operational Overview -------------------- To use InstantUpdate you start with the InstantUpdate Wizard which asks you a few questions and then generates a configuration file. You then distribute the configuration file along with the InstantUpdate runtime engine with your software. The only other thing that you need to do is to upload the update information page that is generated by the Wizard to your Web site. Whenever your users want to check for a new update they just connect to the Internet (through their dial-up or proxy connection) and run InstantUpdate. Product Revision History ------------------------ Version 1.0 - Initial release. Version 1.1 - Minor fixes, change in contact information. Version 1.2 - New feature: You can now pass a "/s" on the command line to run InstantUpdate in silent mode. There will be no user interaction unless an error occurs.
